“Fighting For Redemption” Book Marketing Case Study

ABSTRACT

It’s become a complete illusion that you need a traditional publisher to sell a book.

The publishing industry isn’t the same anymore. You can make countless dollars on Amazon alone by writing a book and publishing it via Kindle or their paperback services.

Most writers may not want to think of their work in this way; however, it’s true: Once you write something, anything, with the intent to sell it, it is no longer a piece of art; it is a product.

Thus, if you can make money selling any product online (even something as simple as a t-shirt), then you can make money selling a book.

Who prints the book doesn’t actually matter more than its presentation and whether it reaches a customer’s hands. If you can figure out what value your book provides to its target audience, then the only thing left would be to adequately market it.

GOAL

Establish a solid method for continually selling the book for passive income as my personal brand grows.

PROCESS

  • Determine the value the book has to what target audience
  • Develop a content plan of “palatable promotion”
  • Determine a consistent method of targeted promotion

RESULTS

  • Sales boosted by an estimated %1,466 in 60 days.
  • Amazon bestselling rank shot up to top 100,000 for both Kindle and paperback sales
  • A 6-time bestseller in its respective niche categories
